Pandemic Relief: This Is Not!

Grace & Peace!

Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, you are very great; you are clothed with honor and majesty! Psalm 104:1

These days I’m learning that more than ever I must have a scripture on my lips with everything that’s going on with the world today. If you’re not a hermit hidden under rock you are very much aware of the pandemic we are in due to COVID-19; and Yes, because of all our sins which has gotten really out of control this is where we are. I really believe that this predicament wasn’t addressed to the world but to the believers. On the onset after a month of two I believe I was being directed to some scriptures, along with some study I was directed in my hearing “Exposure”.

Ouch; not only for me but this included for believers as well as non-believers how God was going to use this time for us to truly depend and trust Him only.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

I’m grateful for the Holy Spirit who reminded of this scripture:

JEREMIAH 17:8

For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

This crises is devastating hearing about people who have lost their lives and suffering of people who contracted this disease. No longer being glued to the TV hearing of Covid-19, the injustice of Black Americans being killed, misinformation; the protest, racial injustice and political crises. Just keep pray without ceasing.

Energized Time

There are many clocks in the world and famous clocks worldwide. Most notably is Big Ben in London. I always had a fascination about clocks and quick frankly I’m not a big fan of wrist digital watches. Time itself fascinates me too. The bible references time as follows:

2nd Corinthians 2

2 For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.”I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation

1 John 2:17

17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

Jeremiah 29:11

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 9:4

4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.

I hope when you look at time you will remember these verses.

Captured 2020

Matthew 26:55
In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, “Have you come out as against a robber with swords and clubs to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me.

I love it how the bible points to hours and minutes and seconds in the bible.  It’s important that though some time does allude specifically to the time.  As I read this first I immediately thought of the person who doesn’t know Jesus or for the fact has never read the bible.  My prayer is I hope it is you that feel they have lost all hope; one who isn’t sure about this Jesus stuff.  Can I tell you you’re not alone.  There are 53 occurrences in the bible that speaks about captured.  Captured could mean for someone who hopes to be capture for relief; (Let’s think of healing of the virus COVID-19) then there are others who thought that they wouldn’t get captured for their wrong doings but found out they did (How did we get here)

Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary

1. (n.) The act of seizing by force, or getting possession of by superior power or by stratagem; as, the capture of an enemy, a vessel, or a criminal.

2. (n.) The securing of an object of strife or desire, as by the power of some attraction.

3. (n.) The thing taken by force, surprise, or stratagem; a prize; prey.

4. (v. t.) To seize or take possession of by force, surprise, or stratagem; to overcome and hold; to secure by effort.

Here are some scriptures for healing for the us and the land:

  • Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.” ~Psalms 107:19-21
  • “LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. Psalms 30:2
  • Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits – who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.” Psalms 103:2-4
  • “Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am faint; heal me, LORD, for my bones are in agony.”  Psalms 6:2
  • “The LORD protects and preserves them— they are counted among the blessed in the land – he does not give them over to the desire of their foes. The LORD sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.”Psalms 41:2-3
  • “I said, “Have mercy on me, LORD; heal me, for I have sinned against you.” Psalms 41:4
  • “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalms 147:3

The Runner

As a child of Child of God there are some guidelines that one must take or follow. If I may I would like to compare this to a long distance runner. God is so awesome in how he takes everyday life as example hence; we have the parables. There are different types of distance running, also called marathon running, involves running distances of 1.86 miles (3 km) or more, often in a competitive setting. 3K, 5K, 10K, half marathon, cross-country and marathon races are all examples of long distance running. Ultimately, to make this run the body has to get in shape. It takes strength, speed, endurance aerobics skills, exercise and I believe sacrifice to run such distances and, therefore, anyone who is interested in distance running must train appropriately and adequately in order to avoid injuries to the body.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

I love this verse because it gives strength when it seems you want to give up but don’t be reminded in God’s Word; Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Not a bible verse; but a quote so often use; “This too shall pass” but it’s a good one!

God is still awesome, in the mist of this crisis we are in with COVID-19 virus. I heard at one time or another or more often so, in fact, in my spirit this morning. “This too shall Pass” I thought this quote was scriptural or a verse from the bible. I recently was directed to learn that it is not. However, I direct you to or it you already knew that this quote its not scriptural it seems to align with Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace. So, to my brothers and my sisters I say to you “This COVID-19 it too shall pass” In fact, whatever trails and tribulations that may come your way read this scripture as I pray that it will encourage you to not be discourage hold on Help is on the way. Run, Jump to the Light

Apostle John wrote in 1 John 1:5 said; This is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is  light, and in Him is no darkness at all!  What a powerful statement to share to those who are on the road of recovery or whatever walk of life we as people experience in our lifetime.  Can I tell you as a child of the Most High one of many who wants the share the Gospel throughout the land in which we live in.  This can open up a conversation to anyone….

How to share the Gospel using techniques that the person will remember you when you gone.  So often, we as people of God when we go on our first  mission to evangelize  we are excited to tell someone about the love of Jesus but so often we become of afraid; as my mom so loves to say with some swag “Whats up with that” What are some of your excuses?

Go Back to where you first met God

I remember sitting around as a young girl along with my aunties, and cousins speaking about experiences with God.  One of my encounters I shared was when I was  three years old visiting my dad’s sisters and cousins and friends on a hot summer day.  I remembered how it was being brought up in the big city before moving to the suburbs and how my dad and mom who migrated from the south to begin a new chapter in their lives and my Dad making a living and to raise their children to have a better life then their own.  I’m so grateful that I was born to loving parents who knew God and instill their beliefs in us.   I remember how everyone was zoned in their own conversations, how the noise of buses and trains and the hustle and bustle of Saturday afternoon was filled with people coming and going.  I remember the automobiles would drive down the street and how the fruit man and peanut man  would shout for the attention of their goods.  This particular Saturday afternoon I was not playing with the other children but I was interested in the surroundings taken place all around me.  I felt invisible at this moment and compel to go across the street.  As I ran out it became silent for me but screams from everyone else.  I remember as I found out later the lady with the club foot who was suppose to be taking care of ran after me.  The story goes that she couldn’t walk fast but this particular time no one didn’t believe how she frantically which caught everyone’s else attention.  I remember clearly how tall and mesmerizing the good looking man as he got out of his car. Panicky he looked and it was so quiet as it everything stopped.   His facial expression was something I never saw in a person but as  I grew that this was a look of  unbelief that I wasn’t hit nor did the car hit me.  My family onlookers was in a panic and thought the worse too.  When they finally realize that I was not hurt;  the man felt relief and was angry looking at my family as if to say how could you let her ran out in the street; they thanked the man; but most importantly the look that he gave directly to me as it telepathically  saying it was God that saved you.   When I recalled this story my mother was astonished as I really don’t know how the story became so vivid from my recall and I got spooked out when my mother said “Deborah you were only 3 years when that happen……

Psalm 46 :1-11; has blessed me throughout the years; I pray it was bless you to past forward – BLESSINGS

1 God is our refuge  and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,the holy place where the Most High dwells.

5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.

6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

7 The Lord Almighty  is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

8 Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolation he has brought on the earth.

9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.

10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Conviction ~ Period

I wasn’t sure if I would make a comeback on my limited time here at this time at this moment at this second but I get a pull every now and then called conviction. The world is changing and it seems that if you don’t keep your head above the water you will surly drown.  I know that I can’t and I wont stop believing its’ almost as you keep reminding yourself why am I here what am I suppose to do and it’s it worth it and the answer is always yes.   There are so many things going wrong that I’m not going to celebrate the enemy with what we see on TV, what we hear, what we experience etc. etc. etc.  so I do what I know go to the scriptures.  Now mind you I’m  glad I don’t go every day only for the simple fact that I will get lost and I have to become or put on the robe that I’m not like those folks who sin; those folks who I have shook my head at or gave them the  stinky face why because I’m God ‘s anointed.  I am so glad when the light came on in the sense that I will live in Jesus name.  That doesn’t mean I’m going to do everything under the sun (things that I know its not pleasing to God) and think that God doesn’t see what I’m doing and continue to do it over and over again.  This is what I’m thankful for in the name of this blog:  Conviction.

These two scriptures jump at me:

There is nothing under the sun that Jesus doesn’t know about us.

Mark 14:72 Immediately a rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had made the remark to him, “Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And he began to weep. (In fact, read this entire chapter) of how Jesus knows all our plots he predicts because of our actions of how, where and when we do it  (I couldn’t understand the terminology of Jesus predicts) well this how the Holy Spirit gave it to me.

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?

Saints~ Did you learn anything ?

29 Aug

Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthews 28:20

Here is a promise of many that God gave to us as we share the Gospel of Jesus. In our well doing we have to remember this. In my walk at the time I didn’t get this but there was always this still small voice whispering in my ear. Don’t do this,  Don’t Go, Stay here,  Pray for him or her. Leave Now. Don’t do this or that.  So many worries.  This when the gift of discernment is a blessing. I can write a book that if I didn’t  obey His voice I know it would have put me in a position I know I didn’t want to be…..The gift of discernment has been with me from a very early age. Although the Lord knows I am grateful but I’m the first to tell anyone this gift to me it’s a blessing and  a curse. Let me try to the explain because most times I can’t explain it.  Certain points or times in my life situations come across that I pray Lord don’t show me this. I’m still not under or I missed the opportunity to be mentored by a true prophet who will take me under his or  her wings because I feel scared and uncomfortably to who to tell of this gift.  Wow Holy Spirit I know in some instances i that run away but how long do I have to be on this Island alone? I’m believing that due tot God putting me where he wants be during this pandemic.  I am no longer afraid but will walk in what God has choose me to be.

Galatians Got Me!

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.  Galatians 2:20.

If you have been following me as you can see it wasn’t nothing to follow because I couldn’t put anything on paper sort of.  Well I didn’t have anything to write.  You can sort of say I had writer’s block.  I mean who am I kidding I’m not really a writer in the sense as some of you are.  I have skimmed through a few of the blogs which I can say were a blessing in the time that  I read it and truth be told I was like Lord can you give me some of that, you have sons and daughters that you pour into on a consistently daily basis.  What’s wrong with me can you help a daughter out.  I have to chuckle and I can hear him say “Really” Daughter and me replying I know I got some issues that need to be addressed..  I am so thankful that although I wasn’t on my site as I had wanted to but look at this at 2am in the morning I had a little talk with Jesus (you know the song) so funny; but it’s true.  So many things were coming out about myself as He revealed to me it seemed from Genesis to Revelations  I kid you not.  Not literally from chapter to chapter remnants of the chapters. What’s amazing to me how I believe He told me about himself; making me repeat Our Father is Spirit and Truth (unseen God) and how God the Son Jesus (seen and physical God) and God the Holy Spirit (Unforgotten God as the Father/Jesus – returned back to the Spirit)  Now I promised you I had to write this down because I never heard of this analogy about the Spirit and of course I am going to find who else this was revealed to so stay tuned.  For now I realized how God moved me out of the way so I can trust Him 100% no wavering.  I’m preparing to go on the prayer line in which I had shared with another friend of my who in the few months who came to me on Sunday to tell me that she is prepared to give up because no one is coming on the line (I’m guilty because I couldn’t tell her most morning I was held back from going on the line (didn’t know then that no one was coming on the line) that God and I were communicating one on one and I was loving it and I don’t think this is me being selfish if that’s what you want to call it but God had already put in my spirit exactly about that time that she was going on with this discouragement.. Hmm maybe it was being selfish…It’s so amazing that I was prepared to tell her on Sunday (it had to be the Holy Spirit) that the Lord had told me to open the line as I instructed at the beginning of year.  Let the mothers know that you are going forward with consistently……talking about divine intervention.  Early this evening I was giving the  name as “MNSHOPI” Mothers and Sisters House of Prayer International sent text out to join 5am-6am prayer believing in faith that someone will come on the line.    I’ve learned that was one of things that need to be fixed during my one on one with the Father- How sweet the sound knowing that Jesus died just for me.  He died just for you and how profound that this scripture has been jumping at me before I spoke with my Sister. I’m looking forward to what God has for me in this ministry back then I was afraid but now I am not.  If you’re reading this keep me in prayer as I pray for every reader as I believe in faith that it was his divine appointment that led you here and that you too can take Galatians 2:20 with you to the bank 🙂
