Bible Study-March 2016:Life-Changing Events for you and for me

As you read; there was some struggle on what I was going to name the title of this.  (ironically it was named Bible Study March – then I was led to change it to above).  This  study is taking us directly to Jesus.  Just to keep it real; the entire bible directs us to Jesus. It’s such a blessing how the Father puts everything in perspective for us to get a hold of in his Word.  As stated; this is the greatest book ever written.  Let’s just say this book is a superstar of books; something that every human being should read and get to know. I would challenge the skeptic and unbeliever to give it a try.   I’m doing my part as I’m sure you will get to your part in getting the word out

So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? (Matthew 24:44, 45)

That brings to give this subtitle:   Life-Changing Events for you  and for me

Devotional Reading: Malachi 3 1-4; Background Scripture: Luke 1:57-80; Title Scripture:  Luke 1:64 – His mouth was opened immediately and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, and praised God.

Prayer:  Father,  I pray that people would know that God is working to bring positive changes for those he love and for those who want to know him.  Father let us respond to your life changing events with gratitude for the need to be positive vessels of change so that doing your will not be in vain; but that you get the glory in what you teach us in Jesus name we pray.

If you are reading this; please note that it’s truly not by accident but by the spirit of a divine purpose (The Holy Spirit _ God) that directed you to this page.  Yes, it may seen peculiar but it’s okay.  Truth be told if you expand your horizons if you are a  unbelief or would like to challenge yourself into knowing that there just a tipsy bitty belief that you have an unexplained notion within yourself that that tells you  “let me see what this Jesus is all about” welcome to club you are not alone.  There are many stories of believers on how they came or stumble upon something that got them interested in seeking what is this Jesus thing.  So for that I extend my “Congratulation” to you.

Luke 1:64 King James Version (KJV)

64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God!

Zacharias was the Father of John the Baptist who preached that the time is near and now “Repent” he lived and breathe relentless  preaching Repent; basically, he was used by God through the Holy Spirit to preached this message.

Please read the following scriptures on this study:  (Background Scripture: Luke 1:57-80) and ponder on this. As we read; the priest; Zacharias was temporarily silenced because he doubted God’s promise announced to him through the angel, Gabriel.  It was promised to Zacharias that he and Elisabeth would have a son in their old age and they must name the child John.  John was known as  forerunner of Christ.  Because of Zacharias unbelief, (that he would have child)  his mouth was shut by God to become speechless until after the promised child, John was born. Being inspired and controlled by the Holy Spirit he was able to speak again v67.  I felt sad for him; can you imagine seeing this promised poke at him for 9 mos but then not able to speak of the joy he must have felt and it had to be hard on Elisabeth as well or maybe it was just fine with her maybe when she asked him to do something he couldn’t respond verbally “Why do I have to do it” just being sarcastic you know how we can get with our love one.  Let’s get back on track.  This verse is so exciting because it’s praise points to the great redemptive work that God would do through Jesus Christ. In Christ rested all of Israel ‘s hopes, and only though Him would their deepest longings be satisfied. The message  in these scriptures has so much meat in it.  (1) divine visitation (The angel Gabriel) (2) redemption of the Israelite’s v68, and God raising a horn of salvation (the instrument of saving power) from the line of David v69.  All these themes well all three of these are rooted in the Old Testament. Although Jesus was soon to be born as well ; the prophesy concerning him was not new.  His birth was spoken (prophesied) through the holy prophets long long ago. V 71-75 indicates the expectation of when the Messiah arrived. Luke 4:16:30 tell us God promise to deliver his people from their enemies including human and spiritual forces.  God loves and still loves his chosen people.  Please note that all of God Promises are Yea and Amen.

I like Matthew Henry Commentary below to give you some background on John.(after reading this – it seems fitting to add to my title now in the heading 🙂 this is why; thank you Holy Spirit!

MH Commentary: Matthew 3:1-6 After Malachi there was no prophet until John the Baptist came. He appeared first in the wilderness of Judea. This was not an uninhabited desert, but a part of the country not thickly peopled, nor much enclosed. No place is so remote as to shut us out from the visits of Divine grace. The doctrine he preached was repentance; Repent ye. The word here used, implies a total alteration in the mind, a change in the judgment, disposition, and affections, another and a better bias of the soul. Consider your ways, change your minds: you have thought amiss; think again, and think aright. True penitents have other thoughts of God and Christ, sin and holiness, of this world and the other, than they had. The change of the mind produces a change of the way. That is gospel repentance, which flows from a sight of Christ, from a sense of his love, and from hopes of pardon and forgiveness through him. It is a great encouragement to us to repent; repent, for your sins shall be pardoned upon your repentance. Return to God in a way of duty, and he will, through Christ, return unto you in the way of mercy. It is still as necessary to repent and humble ourselves, to prepare the way of the Lord, as it then was. (Homework:  read the verses I gave you above; and then locate MH Commentary and read it entirely)

In the next lesson; lets discuss more of John messages of repentance as well as why did he lived in the wilderness eating locust.

Closing Prayer:  Thank you for the way Jesus birth and earthly ministry changed history.  Thank you that His coming into our hearts has changed our lives and will changed those that are coming when they acknowledge and accept you as their Savior.  In Jesus name, I  pray AMEN

Find your Prayer Style: Part 1

Prayer comes in different forms for different people.  I believe only that there is a right way and wrong way to pray.  I only say this because just as our God is a God order therefore, we should be of order when it comes to any spiritual style of prayer when we come to God.  Therefore, everyone is entitled to their own personal style of prayer bur it should be done in decency and in order.  There are some that pray in a low monotonous voice and  some very boisterous and loud.  Whatever your style  find it and make it yours.  Here are a few men that you may or may not have read about in our history books in real time.  God Bless you!

Men of Prayer

Every man and every woman that God has used to halt this sin-cursed world and set it going Godward has been a Christian of prayer. Martin Luther arose from his bed and prayed all night, and when the break of day came he called his wife and said to her, “It has come.” History records that on that very day King Charles granted religious toleration, a thing for which Luther had prayed.

John Knox, whom his queen feared more than any other man, was in such agony of prayer that he ran out into the street and fell on his face and cried, “O God, give me Scotland or I’ll die.” And God gave him Scotland and not only that, he threw England in for good measure.

When Jonathan Edwards was about to preach his greatest sermon on “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” he prayed for days; and when he stood before the congregation and preached it, men caught at the seats in their terror, and some fell to the floor; and the people cried out in their fear, “Mr. Edwards, tell us how we can be saved!”

The critical period of American history was between 1784 and 1789. There was no common coinage, no common defense. When the colonies sent men to a constitutional convention, Benjamin Franklin, rising with the weight of his four score years, asked that the convention open with prayer, and George Washington there sealed the bargain with God. In that winter in Valley Forge, Washington led his men in prayer and he got down on his knees to do it.

When the battle of Gettysburg was on, Lincoln, old Abe Lincoln, was on his knees with God; yes, he was on his knees from five o’clock in the afternoon till four o’clock in the morning, and Bishop Simpson was with him.

“And whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13). No man can ever be saved without Jesus Christ. There’s no way to God unless you come through Jesus Christ. It’s Jesus Christ or nothing.

“Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1

Lights, Camera, Action: Genesis Study: 2

Continuing in the book of Genesis is really taking me to new heights my God but before I begin let me give you a summary of what I’ve learned so far from this book.  From the very beginning God opens the curtains for us as the mastermind Director.  He knew how he wanted the book written and gave the approval to go forth with the Logos word. He knew what to put in and what not to put in these pages. I believe just to wet our appetite so we can find for ourselves what he wants for us to learn.   I believe God knew how the bible was going to be put together   (some argue that the chronological book order its out of order)  I agree only in the sense that God knew how it was going to be put together and how we were going to take for granted to start in the book of Genesis and end in Revelation.  I believe until we can do our own research and studying God ‘s word to get new revelation. There is a meaning in every Word detailed for us; I love this scripture 2 Timothy 2: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. So I’m not mad because for me I agree that the book of Revelations should be the first book to read and Genesis the Last book.  Frankly, whatever the Holy Ghost gives so be it.   But  that’s another study all by itself on what should be read first.  I like to believe the latter; but that’s me.  .  – Bible reading for most  of us  began with the nook of Genesis.    Of course, the most memorized verse in the bible below.

Genesis 1:1-2 King James Version (KJV)

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  So lets begin.

Genesis means origin or beginning. Here are my pointers.  The Heaven and the Earth was created. One Heaven and One Earth it seems there is more to this then my natural understanding.  Why is the first sentence in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  Growing up I was a babysitter for the neighbors and eventually having my own children I  loved to read stories and make up stories. When I hear In the beginning it seems a question was asked.  In order for the question to be asked there had to be something to raise the question.  For instance if I  read a title of the book or let ‘s say “Once upon Time there were a prince and princess in the land of Beautiful”  For me to come up with Once upon Time I would think what led me to say Once Upon a time.   In the same instance In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  What else went on for God to give to Moses to say “In the beginning…….  Another thought, in the book of Genesis there is what is called first mention of everything and everything.  Genesis is the seed plot of the entire books of the bible; therefore Genesis proves the rest of the bible.  The devil hates the book of Genesis.    Remember the mililium why it was such a big deal; because the first 11 chapters of Genesis covers about 2000 years of history and the year 2000 woke up the world that the bible is coming to past.  Genesis begins with God and ends with a coffin.  The first five books are written by Moses called the Pentateuch. The Old Testament records the development of the nation of Israel and there are three key ingredients that make a nation People, Law and Land.

Outline of the Pentateuch.

    • Genesis = The origin of a nation.
    • Exodus = The deliverance of a nation.
    • Leviticus = The life of a nation.
    • Numbers = The testing of a nation.
    • Deuteronomy = The reminders of a nation.

You can search or get teaching on the Law of First Mentions.  Scripture reveals certain principles needed for the proper and faithful interpretation of that book. (It’s so important to get under a good teacher of biblical studies)  It intimated the age-long strife there would be between the two seeds: the children of the Devil and those united unto Christ. And the Lord said unto Cain, “What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto Me from the ground” (Gen. 4:10). That is the first time that all-important word “blood” is mentioned in the Scriptures,    These principles have to be recognized as we the students seek to properly understand the Word. One of these principles is called “the law of first-mention”.The “law of first-mention” is the principle in the interpretation of Scripture which states that the first mention or occurrence of a subject in Scripture establishes an unchangeable pattern, with that subject remaining unchanged in the mind of God throughout Scripture.

The first Prophecy is in the book of Genesis. The first mention of Supernatural birth. The first recorded conversation with the devil  Gen. 315 Said the Lord God to the serpent, “ And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” (Gen. 3:15) . It intimated the age-long strife there would be between the two seeds: the children of the Devil and those united unto Christ. And the Lord said unto Cain, “What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto Me from the ground” (Gen. 4:10). That is the first time that all-important word “blood” is mentioned in the Scriptures, The next prophecy was through Enoch (Jude 14, 15) just before the Flood! (The First Flood that wiped out the entire earth) nothing compared to the Tsunami that we see today. In the prophecy of Genesis 3:15, it was revealed that all human hope was to center in a Coming One (Jesus). It made known that the Coming One should be man, the woman’s “seed,” and therefore of supernatural birth. the first birth Abel and Cain; First Surgery, First day, First night; first women, first forbidden fruit, first poem, first sons Cain & Abel. The First time we hear about Light being Day and Darkness being Night I will look for more.  If you come up with something leave in comment.  Also, here is a good starting point of the 11 generations I spoke of this book. Ironically, there are 11 points.

1. Introduction the Generations, 1:1-2:3

2. Heaven and Earth, 2:4-4:26

3. Adam, 5:1-6:8

4. Noah, 6:9-9:29

5. Sons of Noah, 10:1-11:9

6. Shem, 11:10-26

7. Terah, 11:27-25:11

8. Ishmael, 25:12-18

9. Isaac, 25:19-35:29

10. Esau, 36:1-37:1

11. Jacob, 37:2-50:26.

BLESSINGS!

Prayer Method: Part 2

I had to rewrite this blog; Forgive me as sometimes my mind wanders in different directions that really only me and God knows.  By God’s grace and His goodness; sometimes what God tells you is only for you and Him and not to be shared.   I need help in this but I’ve come a long way.  So again I apologized and was told to come up with another beginning for this blog.  The bible has a beginning and actually for believers it has no end.  When we are born God already knew us and there is bible real talk on this in Ephesians 1:4; As I reread this chapter it was so good I had to share with you below.

Greeting (This  was one of Paul ‘s Salutation when he spoke to church of Ephesus)

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,

To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

On the focus scripture: Ephesians 1:4; as I ponder on this though I actual came across a stimulating reading on how God the Father planted the church (us); He chose us in Christ and predestined us to the place of son-ship. This is actual a difficult verse because it’s so much in it that it becomes debatable among people of faith as well as non-believers; but I want you to do some research too.  It is not that I choose thee but it ‘s God who choose us. This spiritual divined blessings is for you and me.

When you pray use the below as method of prayer.   I pray that as you pray God will open your eyes to see and open your ears to hear His voice.  May God Richly bless you!

Attributes of God – The Characteristics
Wisdom: “Wisdom is the ability to devise perfect ends and to achieve these ends by the most perfect means.” In other words, God makes no mistakes. He is the Father who truly knows best, as Paul explains in Romans 11:33: “Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand His decisions and His ways!”

Infinitude: God knows no boundaries. He is without measure. This attribute by definition impacts all of the others. Since God is infinite, everything else about Him must also be infinite.

Sovereignty: This is “the attribute by which He rules His entire creation.” It is the application of His other attributes of being all-knowing and all-powerful. It makes Him absolutely free to do what He knows to be best. God is in control of everything that happens. Man still has a free will, and is responsible for his choices in life.

Holiness: This is the attribute that sets God apart from all created beings. It refers to His majesty and His perfect moral purity. There is absolutely no sin or evil thought in God at all. His holiness is the definition of that which is pure and righteous in all the universe. Wherever God has appeared, such as to Moses at the burning bush, that place becomes holy just for God having been there.

Trinity: Though the actual word is not used in the Bible, the truth of God revealing Himself in three persons is included. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all called God, given worship as God, exist eternally, and are involved in doing things only God could do. Although, God reveals Himself in three persons, God is One and cannot be divided. All are involved completely whenever One of the Three is active.

Omniscience: “God possesses perfect knowledge and therefore has no need to learn. God has never learned and cannot learn.” Omniscience means all-knowing. God knows everything, and His knowledge is infinite. It is impossible to hide anything from God.

Faithfulness: Everything that God has promised will come to pass. His faithfulness guarantees this fact. He does not lie. What He has said in the Bible about Himself is true. Jesus even said that He is the Truth. This is extremely important for the followers of Jesus because it is on His faithfulness that our hope of eternal life rests. He will honor His promise that our sins will be forgiven and that we will live forever with Him
Love: Love is such an important part of God’s character that the apostle John wrote, “God is love.” This means that God holds the well-being of others as His primary concern. For a full definition of love, read 1 Corinthians 13. To see love in action, study the life of Jesus. His sacrifice on the cross for the sins of others is the ultimate act of love. God’s love is not a love of emotion but of action. His love gives freely to the object of its affection, those who choose to follow His son Jesus.

Omnipotence: Literally this word means all-powerful. Since God is infinite and since He possesses power, He possesses infinite power. He does allow His creatures to have some power, but this in no way diminishes His own. “He expends no energy that must be replenished.” When the Bible says God rested on the seventh day, it was to set an example for us and our need for rest, not because He was tired.

Self-existence: When Moses asked who he was talking to in the burning bush, God said, “I AM THE ONE WHO ALWAYS IS.” God has no beginning or end. He just exists. Nothing else in all the universe is self-caused. Only God. In fact, if anything else had created Him, that thing would be God. This is a difficult concept for our minds since everything else we will ever encounter comes from something other than itself. The Bible says, “In the beginning, God.” He was already there.

Self-sufficiency: The Bible says that God has life in Himself (see John 5:26). All other life in the universe is a gift from God. He has no needs and there is no way He can improve. To God, nothing else is necessary. He does not need our help with anything, but because of His grace and love, He allows us to be a part of advancing His plan on earth and being a blessing to others. We are the ones who change, but never God. He is self-sufficient.

Justice: The Bible says that God is just, but it is His character that defines what being just really is. He does not conform to some outside criteria. Being just brings moral equity to everyone. When there are evil acts, justice demands there be a penalty. Since God is perfect and has never done evil, no penalty would ever be necessary; however, because of His love, God paid the penalty for our evil deeds by going to the cross Himself. His justice needed to be satisfied, but He took care of it for all who will believe in Jesus.

Immutability: This simply means that God never changes. It is why the Bible says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Mercy: “Mercy is the attribute of God which disposes Him to be actively compassionate.” Since God’s justice is satisfied in Jesus, He is free to show mercy to all those who have chosen to follow Him. It will never end since it is a part of God’s nature. Mercy is the way He desires to relate to mankind, and He does so unless the person chooses to despise or ignore God at which time His justice becomes the prominent attribute.

Eternal: In some ways, this fact about God is similar to His self-existence. God always has been and will forever be, because God dwells in eternity. Time is His creation. It is why God can see the end from the beginning, and why He is never surprised by anything. If He were not eternal, God’s promise of eternal life for those who follow Jesus would have little value.

Goodness: “The goodness of God is that which disposes Him to be kind, cordial, benevolent, and full of good will toward men.” This attribute of God is why He bestows all the blessing He does on His followers. God’s actions define what goodness is, and we can easily see it in the way Jesus related to the people around Him.

Gracious: God enjoys giving great gifts to those who love Him, even when they do not deserve it. Grace is the way we describe that inclination. Jesus Christ is the channel through which His grace moves. The Bible says, “The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”

Omnipresence: This theological term means “always present.” Since God is infinite, His being knows no boundaries. So, clearly He is everywhere. This truth is taught throughout the Bible as the phrase “I am with you always” is repeated 22 times in both the Old and New Testaments. These were even Jesus’ words of assurance just after giving the challenge to His disciples to take His message to the entire world. This is certainly a comforting truth for all who follow Jesus.

Attributes of God – The Conclusion
This is the description of the God of the Bible. All other ideas about God are, according to the Bible, false gods. They are from the imagination of mankind. By learning the attributes of God, you may praise God for who He really is and for how each of His attributes impacts your life in a positive way.

Five Books of Moses

Many of us have been taught of Jesus in many different ways.  Some grew up in households where it has been taught either by a parent, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle or friend. There has been some close encountered for most people who proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ but I get excited when the newly converted gets excited when they discover this Jesus as God, Jesus as the baby, son and man and how they can identify with the prophet Jeremiah 20:9

Jeremiah 20:9 New International Version (NIV)

But if I say, “I will not mention his word
or speak anymore in his name,”
his word is in my heart like a fire,
a fire shut up in my bones.
I am weary of holding it in;
    indeed, I cannot.

Oh my God, I feel that this scripture  is one mantra for many Pastors, Evangelist and Missionaries that keeps them going into the field preaching the Gospels. (Wherever they may be preaching in their churches; preaching in their homes, traveling to different countries or cities preaching this Gospel until it reaches  throughout the world.  Help me Holy Ghost. Ephesians 4: 10 he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 4:11 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ. So it’s up to us to accept what God is calling us where we fit in these categories.  Most importantly find it.  I was sharing with someone recently about how we as people of God get away or loose focus on our personal mission for God sharing.  Please note; as I’m learning and I Thank God; that you have to find time to keep God in the equation. To be quite honest, I believe that people who know they are call for the Mission of God should be under a great leader who hears from God and teaches from the pulpit on how to share the Gospel and following their calling.  The person I was speaking to was sharing how there are so many programs going for the entire month of March. And I thought as the Holy Spirit had told me in 2015 that 2016 will not be me spending time in church all day on Sundays, different events and programs for weekly programs etc etc.  To long I’ve been doing this and I immediately, thought about a preacher who once said “How many people who didn’t answer their call are buried in their grave who hadn’t fulfilled their mission”  I declare and decree that I won’t be one of them and pray that you wont either.  Since God knows our beginning and our end He already sees where he wants us in the ministry.  Can I leave you with.. That there is a divine appointment specifically tailored just for you.  We have been ordained to preach the Gospel.  The book of Genesis shows that there was no death before Adam fall.Yes, Adam was the first man  God creation for the human race.   Angels preexisted before men.  My God I’m not sure, in fact, I know that I can’t do this study by myself when it comes to what took place in the heavens the Gap between V1-V2.  Nevertheless, I will search and continue to study.  I need real people who know the word of prayer to pray for me on this. If anyone knows a good commentary on the book of Genesis; please share.

Book 1: Yes, In the beginning

I’m finding out that there is so much more in the book of Genesis that it has giving me a another perspective on just how Great my God is.  I just love it as I’m Mary at this point of my journey.  I just want to sit at his feet listening and absorbing what my mind can handle.  Don’t want to rush just want to sit and listen.  I think at one point in my life (or many instances I had my Martha moments.  I can definitely identify with her sister Martha who ran around being a hostess to Jesus.   At this point., I’m grateful and want the Holy Spirit to just keep on showing me things that I can’t help but share.  It’s almost like an adrenaline that I pray doesn’t cease.  If I can say since I have been doing an in dept study in book of Genesis; (My you I’m still in the first chapter)  please don’t think I’m giving the attack of the enemy any promotional points as he is doing what he can to discourage me into thinking that I must stop what God has set out for me to do.  Of course, To God be the Glory;  I  immediately reflect on God ‘s Word to fight where the enemy wants to take me out of the realm of the Kingdom of God. .  I have to always  remember that when things are going right; the enemy is right around the corner to plant doubts and lies, trying to test my faith, tempting with sexual immorality,   disunity with christian family and friends; the enemy to slander your reputation, take you down with your pride; fear, He fights against your faith, and most of all He will try to sidetrack you with worldly things. Dear Friends, I’m a witness that yes, it hurts and yes, it feels that sometimes you do want to hang in towel but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that you can be rest assured that the word of God will bring you out of any situation.  I haven’ even touch the surface in reading the book of Genesis.  I will share what I find in the hopes that you will do your own investigation as well as your comments or your understanding of what God is telling you.  God word is tailored made just for you; so to you my friend be encourage;

Ask, Seek, Knock

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

As  I mentioned previously on my blog the book of Genesis came alive to me again with teaching of Pastor Chuck (made me want to look at the book of Genesis with another approach.  I hope you understand that I love when (new) revelation comes to me when it comes to scripture especially, when you read scripture on what you believe in your own understanding sort of and here comes someone who shows you another understanding that brings it to you clearly that may have been a thought / or question that came to surface while you were reading and you forgot or maybe after hearing the person reveal to you something that you never discussed with anyone else except you and the Holy Ghost.

This is when I want to run and jump with Joy; because for me this is the Holy Spirit revealing himself.  The Holy Spirit brings to you such a hunger that all you want is more and more of it  and then find that you have to share it. This is where I’m at anyway) Thank God for Pastor Chuck is all I’m saying.    There are some more studies by Pastor Chuck that I hope I will be able to visit.  My prayer is that God will continue to use and strengthen him as he continues to teach and share what God has given him to do. May the Lord richly bless him and his family. Amen

BLESSINGS!

Priceless Book ~ Ordained 4U

I believe for each person there is a bible story that has been whispering in our ears but we didn’t quite know it then… I believe that the Holy Spirit holds this truth from us until we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and we really get serious about this Jesus. Someone may ask well everyone knows Jesus; but there is a difference.  I said that I believe that there is a bible book made specifically for the believer who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Excuse me, I don’t want to be misunderstood;  please don’t feel that little old me  is trying to step on toes; this is definitely not my intentions as I’m just one crying out in the wilderness among others who is sharing the Gospel of Jesus.

I find it very interesting, how God who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient.  The God that Was and The God that Is.  The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.  The same God of yesterday (past) , The God of today (present) and the The God forevermore (future). God created us for his purpose and I believe there is a book that He specifically wanted us to connect with for our own understanding. To God be the Glory; once we decided or better yet once we remembered that he called us before we were born. If we were to look at the creation of us through Adam.  The bible reads that when Adam was created he walked and talked with God.  Can you imagine walking in Eden and having a conversation with God daily. In my business field I set up meetings for my leader for his staff called one on one meetings usually, weekly, monthly or quarterly.  I don’t believe I read anywhere that God didn’t speak with Adam daily until he did surgery on him to create Eve removing one of his ribs.  In any case, I want to believe that our God our Father spoke to Adam daily.  Come along with me on this thought.  The garden of Eden has been described as a one of kind garden.  It would have had to be.  I search google and found that the most beautiful garden in the world is located in several parts of the world.  There have been writers who tried to describe the garden of Eden to their best ability.  But as I am being led in my writing that the Garden has been accepted in the unlearned of God to think that the maybe a natural state and this is the problem with most of us that we continue to look at things in the natural  (i.e. google search on garden; noting to do with the garden of Eden of the bible) when we should be looking  for answers in the spiritual. How dare we (I)  think that we can understand the written word in our natural state.  When the Word clearly teaches that God is spirit {John 4:24 King James Version (KJV) 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth}.

Here is excerpt below written by Des Walter; that I found that would bless you as it has bless me. I promise you this was in my thoughts as I pray over my computer for the Holy Spirit to direct me. I pray that God will bless him as he continues to preach the Gospel.

When MAN was created God prepared an environment for him, called the Garden of Eden. The word “Eden” speaks of an area of delight and was situated towards the SUN RISE, from which the Light would come, as the trees need the sun light for growth and development. This Garden is not LITERAL but is spiritual and is found in every man, and is a place which separates him from the world environment, and allows him access to God’s world in which everything he needs is supplied. This Garden is also a protection from disease and sickness and everything that would cause pain and death. This Garden possessed divine properties, providing all the food that the man would need to live forever, as well as providing an environment where God and Man could walk together in fellowship and love. It was isolated from the rest of the earth, and no one could intrude unless Adam allowed them to enter. All the trees were planted by God so that they provided the food and vitality to allow those who lived therein to LIVE FOREVER. The symbol of the food in the Garden is expressed by the tree in the center of the garden, called THE TREE OF LIFE. This tree represents Christ, and God told Adam that he could eat the fruit of all the trees in the garden, as they were good for food to sustain life. However there is another tree that God warned Adam about, and that was the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, which strangely enough was also in the middle of the Garden! Of this tree God told Adam, “do not eat of the fruit of that tree for the day you eat, YOU WILL DIE.”

The fruit of all the trees in the Garden of Eden represent our thoughts, and God said we can eat from all the trees, because those trees represent the planting of the Lord. In creation God put a seed in the fruit of every tree so that it would reproduce after its kind. So the fruit of all the trees planted by the Lord would reproduce thoughts that were in the heart and mind of God.  But if a man eats the fruit of a tree not planted by the Lord it would develop thoughts that are foreign to God and this would cause problems.  It is true for all of us that our mind is like a radio that can be tuned into certain frequencies according to what we want to hear. But so many do not have their hearts centered on Christ, but on the things of this world, so they adjust their mind accordingly. The world is full of entertainment and knowledge, most of which will not sustain spiritual life. So we can choose what thoughts we allow to enter our mind to produce the outcome we desire. Those that come from above will tend to lift us up and bring stability into our lives and bring forth a manifestation of Christ. But those thoughts that do not have a heavenly origin will have a tendency to pull us down to the lower dimensions of life, away from God, who has placed his wisdom in those trees that he has planted in our Garden, for our blessing. However, there was another tree in that Garden in the same place as the Tree of Life, that God said not to eat the fruit of it, for it will bring D-E-A-T-H. Could it be that THE MAN in the Garden was overtaken by lust and strong desire that seemingly could not be fulfilled by any of the other trees? Using the man’s creator mind that he received from God, man was able to produce his own tree, and this tree could cater for all the desires of the human heart, both good and evil. However in doing so he had established for himself a God of his imagination being both good and evil. Man now had a choice.  He had created his own tree and that tree produced (evil) thoughts that would lead to actions contrary to God’s will and purpose. But MAN in his own wisdom decided his thoughts and actions were good.

It is most interesting to notice that death was introduced into the human race by a THOUGHT PROCESS, and not by a disease, sickness or poison that would affect the physical body. “As a man thinks in his heart that is what he is.” Take hold of this truth because here is an important Key.

BLESSINGS!

Evanglize right where you are

Matthews Chapter 11:1 And it came to pass , when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.

I get so excited when my friend the Holy Ghost shows me things especially when I have read it several times or no times and I get new revelation or simply a revelation that I know that there was a conversation in the heavens just for me.  I remember hearing a preacher explain it this way.  Jesus and the Holy Spirit on our behalf talks about us in our every day life of what we do and say.  How we conduct ourselves I guess the best description for our understanding would be the “big brother” effect in essence that we are being spiritually watched and recorded.  Thank you Jesus for being our advocate and the thank you Holy Ghost for being out Helper.

Another way to look at it would be just like when you clock out of hard days work Jesus and he Holy Spirit review notes on us.  I would like to think that they compare how to handle our situation, sitting in comfortable area in heaven comparing notes on how to fix what needs to be fixed in our life; and what we need before we lay our heads down at night.  They discuss our needs preparing themselves to go before the Father. Once they get together I wonder; do they review notes and put it  as a draft then as a final cut pleading our case to the Father.

I like to think that Father is in awe and loves that they present our case to Him and He loves to grant on behalf of Jesus and the Holy Ghost loves to see Jesus at work as Jesus is his mentor. (humm I never seen it that way) but that’s interesting.

My prayer is for all those who proclaim Jesus as their Savior that they hear the Word of the Lord that we are all commissioned to preach the word.  For me I believe it’s right where I am.  I’m going to change right in my area, on my block to preach the love of Jesus. I think it’s time that we get ready to plant seeds right where we are.  There are so many blessed men and women who are missionaries going  throughout the world and God Bless them.  They should always be in our prayers.

Aha moment in the book of Genesis

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

There is a move going on in the earth that’s pointing for us to wake to a firm question “Who is on the Lord side”?  Whether we want to believe it or not there is a vibration that is so astounding that there is a spiritual grip taking hold of our every day lives.  Just look around in your work and life environment how things are being shifted that we have never experience before.  We can look at any major newspaper and see what’s not good going in the world which may affect us directly or indirectly where we live.   We can either look at the statistics of crime or we can line up the newspaper world wide and find that what’s happening lines up with the Word of God in the Holy Bible.  I remember as a young girl when the Holy Spirit presented to me to ask my mother “when you were a little girl did they preach that Jesus is coming again?  My mother gave me a quizzical look as I have seen throughout my childhood and adolescent years which would always challenge or remind her about my birth how during labor I had been the most difficult birth she every  experienced out of all her children.  Her face would grimace sometime joking and sometimes sad.  Mother would confide to whoever would listen as to how the pain she experience was like no other giving birth to me.  Mind you I was her third child and in her eyes she had been an experienced baby deliverer so to speak by the time I came along. LOL.  For some reason I didn’t know if I should cry or laugh when she recalled the story to family members and friends during my young life.

The conversation would sometimes come at impromptu times when speaking to mothers to be or  having conversations dealing with pain.  There was  one particular time when she was very angry with me she felt she was curse for having me  after many years she finally didn’t believe that.   (I’m not going to go into details; other than to say I forgave her)  As I write this the Holy Spirit is reminding me in the book of Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

There is a purpose for you and for me and it’s up to us to find it.  I knew God had a special purpose for me at a very young age.  I can write books on how the Lord healed me; protected and delivered me from so many obstacles that you would not believe.  One thing that I do know that the enemy (the devil) didn’t want me live.  After all; his purpose is to lie, kill and destroy.

Let’s Pray; Father in the name of Jesus you are God Almighty, you are the same God, yesterday, today and forever more.  You are a Great King, you are Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  Your Name means Holy throughout eternity and there is none like you. Father I pray for every reader that reads this post that they too can have a new beginning in their life too as they search and seek your face.  Dear Lord  Jesus, you said in your word in Luke 11:8

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  I pray that those who know you will remain steadfast and those that don’t you give you a try.  I pray this in the matchless name of Jesus.  AMEN

Each and everyone of us has been born of a women.  I wanted to share with you the first two verses of Genesis.  In fact, the word Genesis means beginning and there are 50 chapters in this book.  The first 11 chapters deals with human race and remaining chapters deals with family.  Every bible doctrine is found in this book.  Truth be told Genesis comes after Revelation.  There are 10 generations in the book of Genesis.

The Ten Generations in Genesis

A|    Generations of the heavens and the earth. (Gen. 2:4-4:26)

B|    Book of the Generations of Adam. (Gen. 5:1-6:8)

C|    The Generations of Noah. (Gen. 6:9-9:27)

D|    The Generations of the Sons of Noah. (Gen. 10:1-11:9)

E|    The Generations of Shem. (Gen. 11:10-26)

A|    The Generations of Terah. (Gen. 11:27-15:11)

B|    The Generations of Ishmael. (Gen. 15:12-18)

C|    The Generations of Isaac. (Gen. 15:19-35:29)

D|    The Generations of Esau. (Gen. 36:1-43)

E|    The Generations of Jacob. (Gen. 37:1-50:26)

Genesis shows that Jesus is the center of this book and the Holy Spirit engineers our mind to unfold scriptures in this book for us to look further in the study of the Holy Bible.  Please note; that God never intended that we should walk through life alone.  Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior; and watch how you life unfolds with a new beginning.  Simply; say Jesus I long to be back in relationship with God and I accept what you have done to make that possible.  Please come into my heart and my life today ~right now.  AMEN

BLESSINGS!

Hunger and Thirsty

Mark 11:12-14

12 And on the next day, when they had departed from Bethany, He became hungry.

13 And seeing at a distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if perhaps He would find anything on it; and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.

14 And He answered and said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again!” And His disciples were listening. (NAS)

Mark 11:20-21

20 And as they were passing by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots up.

21 And being reminded, Peter said to Him, ‘Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which You cursed has withered.” (NAS)

Being a food foodie; (not alcohol; ha ha) my sin I could remember when I first read the scripture mainly that we ought to hunger and thirst after God words.  Of course, Jesus being the master on teaching He brings it home as He would that we focus on him V12 (here it is..proof of His humanity)  I ‘m not sure of how it read in the Hebrew bible; but the spirit of God wanted me to investigate the question that I asked in verse 13 particularly, “He went to see it perhaps He would find anything on it”; (Now I promised you I didn’t want to accept this because Jesus knows if there were any figs on that tree; so it couldn’t be about figs  as I was mediating; or picture it in my mind.  Sure enough the Holy Spirit directed me below.

This passage has proven to be one of the most difficult passages in all the Gospels. The cursing of the fig tree is Jesus’ only recorded miracle that results in destruction rather than restoration. The passage, however, becomes clear when understood in its literary context.

In this passage, two encounters with a fig tree are deliberately sandwiched in between Jesus’ cleansing of the temple. There is apparently a relationship between the two incidents, and the reader is left to discover that relationship.

So, my understanding that Holy Spirit (will make you do it)  wanted me to imagine in my mind the physical aspect of fig tree.  In order for me to do  that I had to learn about a fig tree.  The research that I came across helped me see that it wasn’t the physical tree because of the season and besides revelation of this scripture.  I bear witness with just my little understanding as there are well learned men in which I tapped into their teaching about this particular scripture in the book of Mark.

Mark has several interrupted accounts. The fig tree incident is yet another one. On a number of occasions, Mark begins one story and concludes it only after another story in interjected and resolved. This is almost always a literary device designed to tie two incidents together thematically. In this passage, two encounters with a fig tree are deliberately sandwiched in between Jesus’ cleansing of the temple. There is apparently a relationship between the two incidents, and the reader is left to discover that relationship.

The temple cleansing is a fulfillment of Malachi 3:1-3. Moses commanded that folks were to purchase sacrifices conveniently, so the purchasing of sacrifices was not the impetus for Jesus’ actions. There seem to be two reasons for Jesus’ abrupt behavior: 1) the Gentile court was not functioning as intended: it was supposed to be a house of worship and instead these worshippers were being crowded out by merchandisers, and 2) It was supposed to be primarily a place of worship, not primarily a marketplace.

Although leaves would commonly appear in March or April, figs normally sprouted in June. The fully developed leaves on this tree, however, suggested that fruit would also be found. Jesus approaches the leafy fig tree fully expecting to find fruit there (if any tree is going to have fruit, this tree certainly would). When He finds none, Jesus responds in righteous anger. Likewise, Jesus enters the temple fully expecting to find fruit there (if any place is going to produce spiritual fruit, this temple certainly would). When He finds none, Jesus responds in righteous anger.

The fig tree incident, then, is a visual parable. Clearly Jesus is indicating judgment, but judgment on whom? Since the tree had leaves, one would expect that fruit accompanied them. Jesus expects to see fruit, and is visibly disappointed when He finds none. The tree was “pretending” to bear fruit. What a terrific picture of the Jewish leadership of Jesus’ day. They “pretended” to have fruit. What a great picture of countless believers today.

The point lies in the difference between the appearance of the temple and the tree from a distance and their true condition, which a closer inspection reveals. Does that sound like your life? To most people you appear to be genuine. But what if we examined you closer? What if we could follow you around for a week? Would we find fruit, or have you grown adept at giving the appearance of fruit from a distance?

Our Fruitfulness Pleases the Lord (11:20-26)104

11:20 In the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 11:21 Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered.” 11:22 Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God. 11:23 I tell you the truth, if someone says to this mountain,105 ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 11:24 For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 11:25 Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your sins.”

Jesus is here giving a summons to faith and to action consistent with one’s faith. He mentions two specific fruits of genuine faith: Prayer and forgiveness—two of the most difficult fruits to counterfeit. Incidentally, the first fruit Jesus describes (namely, prayer) is the primary fruit He found missing at the temple (“My house will be called a house of prayer . . .”). Just as a pulse is the sign of a heartbeat, so fruit is the sign of internal spiritual life.
