The Text : The Call to Follow

The text/IM that was sent to Abe read “Get out of the country that you live in and move away from your family and get out of your Father ‘s house and move to a new land which I will show you. The twist to this scenario is that the text/IM came directly from God.

As Abe ponder on this message as if something that he couldn’t grasp if this message was a spam or whether je thought for some unexplained feeling that he knew exactly who sent the message.  In his mind he seen the message text back to him say “And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. As Abe stood in awe; the text continued; It read “And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curse you; and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

As Abe inhale all that was shown to him; He knew that there was nothing for him to do but to adhere to what was told to him so he packed up and went.   His nephew loved his uncle and knew something special had happen to Abe for him to pack what he had so he decided to  leave so he followed Abe.  Although Abe was 75 years old when he listen to this call taking his wife with him and his nephew and all of their belongings he didn’t call homeland security or try to figure out the first text or text shown in his mind he just did it.  As he moved from land to land not knowing when to stop until he received another text “Unto your seed I will give you this land; and there you shall build an alter unto me who I will appeared unto you”. As Abe move solely unto to the mountain and pitched his tent having the place he left behind and the new land he built an altar as a remembrance of what he believe to be the voice of God. In fact, it was as Abe personally communicated.  This wasn’t the last stop and he continued on.

There are two factors in this story which actually comes from Genesis 12:1

(1) Faith is refined by being tested (2) Living by faith in God does work!

The beauty of this verse is that it occupies a prominent place in the history of the Hebrew people.  His place is so prominent that it is somewhere impossible to understand and appreciated the Hebrew people as the people of God, without giving some attention to Abraham.  The greatest contribution that Abraham made to the Old and New Testaments (even to this present day) was his example of bold, courageous, faith in God.  From a contemporary perspective, when the issue of faith is addressed in preaching and teaching, Abraham and his example of faith are often mentioned.

It’s amazing as I read this scripture and learned that in order for God to fulfill His will in Abraham life, He had to call him away from such spiritually destructive environments.  I believe for many of us it may not be that drastic as Abraham was the Father of faith in other words no one can has much faith as he did. In saying that, I thank God that sometimes we have to experience Abraham moment or season.  When God pulls us to where he wants us to be or to go where he wants us to go. There should be resounding response”Lord, Here am I ~ I’ll go, I’ll do it”

It’s important as we journey that we study God call to Abraham, and Abraham ‘s RESPONSE of faith.  If we keep in mind that obeying God’s will is seldom, if ever, easy or convenient: but it is always REWARDING and fulfilling.

True Trust will be Tried (Genesis 11:27-32) Abraham believe in family and family values which met that he had security in this environment in other words he was familiar with his place of residence  and he understood and appreciate his dept of faith.  God knew this about Abraham and of course as He does he has to test him when he called upon him to leave his familiar environment or comfort zone of the place he grew up in knowing who what and where to get resources for survival.  So it becomes the same for us there will be times that our trust in God will be tried.  Will you continue to trust Him when things go wrong or will we only trust him when things are going right?  How solid is our trust in God when we are challenged to do something different than what we are accustomed to because the change is more in keeping with what pleases God?

Obeying God ‘s Call Carries Built-in Rewards (Genesis 12:1-3)  The Lord told Abraham; Leave your country, your people and your father ‘s household and go to the land I will show you” (Genesis 12:1, NIV).  Should Abraham obey this command? He would have to sacrifice his safety net.  God’s challenge to Abraham could be described as”instruction with no itinerary.” a mandate without a map.  What I love about God and I would like to share because I have experience this is that don’t think that this approach taken by God is by no means out of character on how God acts. (we have to stop thinking that God is like us) Oftentimes, God will call on us to obey Him at the expense of surrendering the thing  (s) that we rely on the most. (leaving God out in everyday function) God does this so that we will be compelled to wholly lean on Him, so that when He gives us the victory, we will be obliged to give Him the glory!

Lord, teach us to obey Your will, and to more diligently study Your Word that we may know what Your will is.  In Jesus’ name, we pray Amen!

BLESSINGS!

This one is for you ~ Yeah You

There is a shift taking place in the world that if we are not careful we will miss what is surely to come.(ask me how)  Whether you are a believer or you are not sure what you believe rest assure that we live and we will die.  Everyone knows that.  The question is what are you doing with your life at this moment at this particular time.  Have you answered the age old question W’s Who, What and Where am I.  I have been blessed to be guided by the Holy Spirit which builds my faith and my ministry. Although it was spoken in my hearing so long ago that it is finally coming to what God has set up for my Life.  So here I am begging at the feet of Jesus for you.  I believe that things happen to us are not my accidents in the sense that whether things are good or not so good happening in your life. God purpose and will for us would be fulfilled.  Please don’t be like so many who have pass on not fulfilling what God purpose for there life.  There was a study sometime ago of how many graves were full with supposed to be Apostles, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor  & Teachers.  Every time you look at your hand remember this and find out which is your gift.  This is good (see picture below)  It ‘s amazing that God can use whoever he wants for him to get the glory.  Some say why should He get the Glory…. I don’t believe God is mad at you for thinking that way because there ‘s a wealth of knowledge about him that folks have not tap into and therefore one may  think (or should I say many) this way.  I find it’s my duty Ladies & Gentlemen to tell you that there is probably a missing link in your life and that is Jesus the Christ.

15 Lessons on the Ministry Gifts of God

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.” (Ephesians 4:11)

You fit into one of these categories once you become a believer; Will you accept him? Confess and Repent so you can walk into you destiny.  Just say, Dear God, I am sinner, forgive me and I ‘m sorry for all that I did what was not of you.  I accept Jesus as Lord and believe that He is the Son of God.  Jesus, will you come into my mind, soul and Spirit that I may have eternal life.  Thank you for listening as I pray in Jesus Name.

There is a scripture Psalms 8:34 ESV -Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

EXPOSITION

I wanted to give you some insight of what this means to be and then how a scholar of so long ago put it which I think interwoven in my thoughts.

As human beings we know that food and water is essential to our living.  If you can think of your best palate of food you ever tasted; can I tell you that there is something so much better.  In the culinary world I read an article of the 50 best dishes in the world.  If your food is listed as one of the main dishes when I think of this verse there is something even better than that 10k better than or better yet I can’t put a number on it.   Just as you identify the best meal look into the Word of God so you will boldly say “I have tasted and see” and He is Good~

Thomas Binney’s “Sermons,” 1869. V

Verse 8. Taste and see. There are some things, especially in the depths of the religious life, which can only be understood by being experienced, and which even then are incapable of being adequately embodied in words. O taste and see that the Lord is good. The enjoyment must come before the illumination; or rather the enjoyment is the illumination. There are things that must be loved before we can know them to be worthy of our love; things to be believed before we can understand them to be worthy of belief. And even after this — after we are conscious of a distinct apprehension of some spiritual truth, we can only, perhaps, answer, if required to explain it, in the words of the philosopher to who the question was put, “What is God?” “I know, if I am not asked.” Thomas Binney’s “Sermons,” 1869.(amazing how this is so prevalent even today )

God’s Hand of Ministry

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God… “ (1 Pet. 5:6)

When Christ ascended, He took His whole ministry mantle, divided it, and gave it in five parts to men and women. All five are needed to perfect, mature and equip the saints “till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of… the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:13). The function of these gifts, also sometimes called equipping or ascension gifts, and how they fit together can better be understood through the analogy of how a physical hand functions.

How to respond to Oppostion

In bible study last week there was a discussion on the behavior of Jesus when He went into the temple.  First as he approach the steps he prepared three cords ready for the whipping of the merchants who had used the temple for selling of their goods instead of coming to worship God Almighty.  The question was raised did Jesus express violence by hitting the men or if he hit anyone.  One said that when he tossed the table maybe merchandise may have hit someone.  One said that the rope did hit those that were in the way. One said that this verse contradicts the teaching of Jesus which exuberant non violence.

The Holy Spirit revealed to me that first three cords was mentioned; for all of those that maybe going through something in their lives please note that when you see the number three I pray that you know you have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit working on your behalf.

Secondly, always refer to the bible before you take in what men say,  If Jesus say it you better believe it ! period.

Lights, Camera, Action: Genesis Study: 3

One for the Father, One for the Son and One for the Holy Spirit; and these three are One.  I feel safe in His arms from this study that I have to share it with you.  If you are not familiar with Chuck Missler‘s; I would advise you as my new cliche I like to use “Go google” In this case, Him.   He is one of my favorite bible teachers; and I thank the Holy Spirit for directing me to him. Pastor Chuck is the pastor of pastors and he is real deal.  Pastor Chuck is so much smarter than me that he can speak to anyone no matter what level they are on in their spiritual journey.  His teaching will have you thinking like never before and prompts you to say to  yourself  out loud WOW;his studies are really worth your time if you can get a hold of it.  Sometimes I get so mesmerized that it really takes me to another realm (spiritually) I’m in awe when I hear his teaching and how he makes it applicable to our everyday lives for today.  It’s good medicine for the soul; so shout out to Pastor Dr. Chuck Missler.  Read the Book of Genesis and you will find some interesting First mentioned of the bible.

Body, Mind & Soul : My Purpose

Grace & Peace,

First I want to say Grace & Peace to all my brothers and sisters who I believe prayed for me and deep within their spirits they knew the Lord was dealing with me in identifying my purpose in my journey on my commitment before 2016 is over I pray I bring someone to know Christ.  I pray all of you are being blessed with God ‘s  grace and mercy as I’m sure you are as I’ve gotten a chance to read some of your posts and surely by sharing the gospels that indeed your purpose is to glorified God; I say  To God be the Glory!

I’m so hooked on Jesus that I’m excited I mean truly excited to know that I’m his daughter and its just right to know who I am and whom I belong too!

I’ve been studying on Spirit, Mind & Soul and I know my flesh hasn’t put it together but my spiritual being has because I never thought of this as being my trinity or never though of mind, body and soul as a truine.  I know of it  as being three but I never said”Oh this is a trinity as in truine”.  The bible clearly distinguish that we have mind, body and soul:  Duh; Genesis 1:26 “God said, Let us make man in Our image” (Genesis 1:26). We know that God is a Trinity. The Holy Trinity is clearly set forth in the Apostle Paul’s benediction that closed his Second Corinthian Epistle: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen”  Therefore, we have to be a truine being because he is created in the image of God.

The two following passages from the Bible clearly establish the fact that man is a triune being composed of spirit, soul, and body:

I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow (body), and is a discern-er of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).

Our Lord Himself said, in what we call “The Great Commission”: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19). Created in the image of God, man is likewise a trinity. He has a spiritual nature that is separate and distinct from the body in which it dwells. This is my calling.  Oh yeah I know what my purpose is; to Evangelize, Lead Praise & Worship;  Intercessor and start a mini bible study.  Hallelujah thank you Holy Ghost for the revelation.

P.S. I wanted my title to read:  Resurrected 🙂

BLESSINGS!

WORD

The bible speaks in John 1:1; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”  Thank you for reading this blog as I hope that you will join me in this journey which I find that no matter where you are there is always a beginning.

Part 2; manifest this April of 2016.  I had to digress to where I am for a moment just to see where I am. The first paragraph was sitting in my draft since January 2016.   I thank God as always for pulling me to where he wants me even though I seemed to be pulling me up to where I think I should be.  The God that we serve is not a God like us we have a finite mind whereas; He is infinite.  If  we can truly grasp that God is not like men; seriously we can’t think of God as we would ourselves but unfortunately this is what we do.  For those who know this walk that we are walking it’s so easy to think that what we do seems so right but I’m sorry there is something in the inside that just doesn’t sit right in your spirit no matter how right you may think it seems.  I mean at some point (sometimes its quick and sometimes not) but there should be something in you that tells you that it’s not right. For me I think when Jesus said that if we have the faith the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains.  My new revelation for the last three to five years and growing is that I’m seriously going in deep with the word God.  Now I’m looking at the word Mustard and Seed.  The taste of mustard can be bitter and yet delicious when you combined it with some other dishes; but more importantly I’m looking at the word seed; (don’t ask how I’m connecting these two words) but you would know by now that I try to flow with the Holy Ghost in what He gives me) One could argue that when Jesus mentioned that the seed was the smallest seed on the earth; we have some skeptics say that the mustard seed wasn’t the smallest seed..  but when we read and the study the bible we have to go deeper by searching, reading, listening connecting with  (learned men and women who study this word daily) KJV 2Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  First Jesus knew exactly what and who he was addressing.  During that region the mustard seed was the smallest seed. Since the Jews were very familiar with the mustard seed, Jesus referred to what they could understand and appreciate. In their world, where they lived, planted, and harvested, they understood that the mustard seed was the smallest of the seeds they normally planted. And still, it could germinate, take root, and flourish, eventually becoming an eight- to 10-foot tall shrub.

So, as I reflect and take a seat back; I would like to think that I too needed Jesus speaking to me on how I need to focus on my blog ministry and how it should go. Start out small get a feel on how  I needed to reevaluate where I am and what is the next move.    Quite frankly, those that have been commented on my post with likes; I was getting a little big headed (just a tiny bit and I needed to remind myself again that it’s not about me).  In saying this it’s important for me to remember when I use this forum to evangelize that it takes more than one may think when they are very new to this.  I know that I have to trust and depend on only what the Holy Spirit is directing for me to write.  I know now too that I have to  have a connection and dialog sharing with people who have experience and are learned folks; it’s important for me to not think that God is only talking to me but to have that connection on a personal level  connecting with God fearing bloggers who God is speaking to as well in such a time as this.  I would like to think that I too am part of the remnant in this generation (Father, I believe this platform is one of the ways you are using your children) What a blessing; one of my favorite websites; “GotQuestionsOrg” Elmer Tow; Jesus made it clear that this remnant would be small when compared to the number of people on the earth throughout history. “Many” will find the way to eternal destruction, but “few” will find the way to eternal life (Matthew 7:13-14). We who believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior can, with great peace, rest in the fact that we belong to the “remnant.”

I pray that someone will  be so stirred up that they too will go deeper in their study and then let God use them for his Kingdom Building as well. My ultimate goal is to reach where I am being used for community base movement connection using my gifts to be part of the bigger picture in preaching the Gospel to the lost.  I hear in my spirit when the preacher will ask “Will there be just one” ~ Come to Jesus – Millions have come and there is still room for you at the cross.

BLESSINGS!

Bible Study-March 2016:Life-Changing Events for you and for me

As you read; there was some struggle on what I was going to name the title of this.  (ironically it was named Bible Study March – then I was led to change it to above).  This  study is taking us directly to Jesus.  Just to keep it real; the entire bible directs us to Jesus. It’s such a blessing how the Father puts everything in perspective for us to get a hold of in his Word.  As stated; this is the greatest book ever written.  Let’s just say this book is a superstar of books; something that every human being should read and get to know. I would challenge the skeptic and unbeliever to give it a try.   I’m doing my part as I’m sure you will get to your part in getting the word out

So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? (Matthew 24:44, 45)

That brings to give this subtitle:   Life-Changing Events for you  and for me

Devotional Reading: Malachi 3 1-4; Background Scripture: Luke 1:57-80; Title Scripture:  Luke 1:64 – His mouth was opened immediately and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, and praised God.

Prayer:  Father,  I pray that people would know that God is working to bring positive changes for those he love and for those who want to know him.  Father let us respond to your life changing events with gratitude for the need to be positive vessels of change so that doing your will not be in vain; but that you get the glory in what you teach us in Jesus name we pray.

If you are reading this; please note that it’s truly not by accident but by the spirit of a divine purpose (The Holy Spirit _ God) that directed you to this page.  Yes, it may seen peculiar but it’s okay.  Truth be told if you expand your horizons if you are a  unbelief or would like to challenge yourself into knowing that there just a tipsy bitty belief that you have an unexplained notion within yourself that that tells you  “let me see what this Jesus is all about” welcome to club you are not alone.  There are many stories of believers on how they came or stumble upon something that got them interested in seeking what is this Jesus thing.  So for that I extend my “Congratulation” to you.

Luke 1:64 King James Version (KJV)

64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God!

Zacharias was the Father of John the Baptist who preached that the time is near and now “Repent” he lived and breathe relentless  preaching Repent; basically, he was used by God through the Holy Spirit to preached this message.

Please read the following scriptures on this study:  (Background Scripture: Luke 1:57-80) and ponder on this. As we read; the priest; Zacharias was temporarily silenced because he doubted God’s promise announced to him through the angel, Gabriel.  It was promised to Zacharias that he and Elisabeth would have a son in their old age and they must name the child John.  John was known as  forerunner of Christ.  Because of Zacharias unbelief, (that he would have child)  his mouth was shut by God to become speechless until after the promised child, John was born. Being inspired and controlled by the Holy Spirit he was able to speak again v67.  I felt sad for him; can you imagine seeing this promised poke at him for 9 mos but then not able to speak of the joy he must have felt and it had to be hard on Elisabeth as well or maybe it was just fine with her maybe when she asked him to do something he couldn’t respond verbally “Why do I have to do it” just being sarcastic you know how we can get with our love one.  Let’s get back on track.  This verse is so exciting because it’s praise points to the great redemptive work that God would do through Jesus Christ. In Christ rested all of Israel ‘s hopes, and only though Him would their deepest longings be satisfied. The message  in these scriptures has so much meat in it.  (1) divine visitation (The angel Gabriel) (2) redemption of the Israelite’s v68, and God raising a horn of salvation (the instrument of saving power) from the line of David v69.  All these themes well all three of these are rooted in the Old Testament. Although Jesus was soon to be born as well ; the prophesy concerning him was not new.  His birth was spoken (prophesied) through the holy prophets long long ago. V 71-75 indicates the expectation of when the Messiah arrived. Luke 4:16:30 tell us God promise to deliver his people from their enemies including human and spiritual forces.  God loves and still loves his chosen people.  Please note that all of God Promises are Yea and Amen.

I like Matthew Henry Commentary below to give you some background on John.(after reading this – it seems fitting to add to my title now in the heading 🙂 this is why; thank you Holy Spirit!

MH Commentary: Matthew 3:1-6 After Malachi there was no prophet until John the Baptist came. He appeared first in the wilderness of Judea. This was not an uninhabited desert, but a part of the country not thickly peopled, nor much enclosed. No place is so remote as to shut us out from the visits of Divine grace. The doctrine he preached was repentance; Repent ye. The word here used, implies a total alteration in the mind, a change in the judgment, disposition, and affections, another and a better bias of the soul. Consider your ways, change your minds: you have thought amiss; think again, and think aright. True penitents have other thoughts of God and Christ, sin and holiness, of this world and the other, than they had. The change of the mind produces a change of the way. That is gospel repentance, which flows from a sight of Christ, from a sense of his love, and from hopes of pardon and forgiveness through him. It is a great encouragement to us to repent; repent, for your sins shall be pardoned upon your repentance. Return to God in a way of duty, and he will, through Christ, return unto you in the way of mercy. It is still as necessary to repent and humble ourselves, to prepare the way of the Lord, as it then was. (Homework:  read the verses I gave you above; and then locate MH Commentary and read it entirely)

In the next lesson; lets discuss more of John messages of repentance as well as why did he lived in the wilderness eating locust.

Closing Prayer:  Thank you for the way Jesus birth and earthly ministry changed history.  Thank you that His coming into our hearts has changed our lives and will changed those that are coming when they acknowledge and accept you as their Savior.  In Jesus name, I  pray AMEN

Find your Prayer Style: Part 1

Prayer comes in different forms for different people.  I believe only that there is a right way and wrong way to pray.  I only say this because just as our God is a God order therefore, we should be of order when it comes to any spiritual style of prayer when we come to God.  Therefore, everyone is entitled to their own personal style of prayer bur it should be done in decency and in order.  There are some that pray in a low monotonous voice and  some very boisterous and loud.  Whatever your style  find it and make it yours.  Here are a few men that you may or may not have read about in our history books in real time.  God Bless you!

Men of Prayer

Every man and every woman that God has used to halt this sin-cursed world and set it going Godward has been a Christian of prayer. Martin Luther arose from his bed and prayed all night, and when the break of day came he called his wife and said to her, “It has come.” History records that on that very day King Charles granted religious toleration, a thing for which Luther had prayed.

John Knox, whom his queen feared more than any other man, was in such agony of prayer that he ran out into the street and fell on his face and cried, “O God, give me Scotland or I’ll die.” And God gave him Scotland and not only that, he threw England in for good measure.

When Jonathan Edwards was about to preach his greatest sermon on “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” he prayed for days; and when he stood before the congregation and preached it, men caught at the seats in their terror, and some fell to the floor; and the people cried out in their fear, “Mr. Edwards, tell us how we can be saved!”

The critical period of American history was between 1784 and 1789. There was no common coinage, no common defense. When the colonies sent men to a constitutional convention, Benjamin Franklin, rising with the weight of his four score years, asked that the convention open with prayer, and George Washington there sealed the bargain with God. In that winter in Valley Forge, Washington led his men in prayer and he got down on his knees to do it.

When the battle of Gettysburg was on, Lincoln, old Abe Lincoln, was on his knees with God; yes, he was on his knees from five o’clock in the afternoon till four o’clock in the morning, and Bishop Simpson was with him.

“And whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13). No man can ever be saved without Jesus Christ. There’s no way to God unless you come through Jesus Christ. It’s Jesus Christ or nothing.

“Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1

Lights, Camera, Action: Genesis Study: 2

Continuing in the book of Genesis is really taking me to new heights my God but before I begin let me give you a summary of what I’ve learned so far from this book.  From the very beginning God opens the curtains for us as the mastermind Director.  He knew how he wanted the book written and gave the approval to go forth with the Logos word. He knew what to put in and what not to put in these pages. I believe just to wet our appetite so we can find for ourselves what he wants for us to learn.   I believe God knew how the bible was going to be put together   (some argue that the chronological book order its out of order)  I agree only in the sense that God knew how it was going to be put together and how we were going to take for granted to start in the book of Genesis and end in Revelation.  I believe until we can do our own research and studying God ‘s word to get new revelation. There is a meaning in every Word detailed for us; I love this scripture 2 Timothy 2: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. So I’m not mad because for me I agree that the book of Revelations should be the first book to read and Genesis the Last book.  Frankly, whatever the Holy Ghost gives so be it.   But  that’s another study all by itself on what should be read first.  I like to believe the latter; but that’s me.  .  – Bible reading for most  of us  began with the nook of Genesis.    Of course, the most memorized verse in the bible below.

Genesis 1:1-2 King James Version (KJV)

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  So lets begin.

Genesis means origin or beginning. Here are my pointers.  The Heaven and the Earth was created. One Heaven and One Earth it seems there is more to this then my natural understanding.  Why is the first sentence in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  Growing up I was a babysitter for the neighbors and eventually having my own children I  loved to read stories and make up stories. When I hear In the beginning it seems a question was asked.  In order for the question to be asked there had to be something to raise the question.  For instance if I  read a title of the book or let ‘s say “Once upon Time there were a prince and princess in the land of Beautiful”  For me to come up with Once upon Time I would think what led me to say Once Upon a time.   In the same instance In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  What else went on for God to give to Moses to say “In the beginning…….  Another thought, in the book of Genesis there is what is called first mention of everything and everything.  Genesis is the seed plot of the entire books of the bible; therefore Genesis proves the rest of the bible.  The devil hates the book of Genesis.    Remember the mililium why it was such a big deal; because the first 11 chapters of Genesis covers about 2000 years of history and the year 2000 woke up the world that the bible is coming to past.  Genesis begins with God and ends with a coffin.  The first five books are written by Moses called the Pentateuch. The Old Testament records the development of the nation of Israel and there are three key ingredients that make a nation People, Law and Land.

Outline of the Pentateuch.

    • Genesis = The origin of a nation.
    • Exodus = The deliverance of a nation.
    • Leviticus = The life of a nation.
    • Numbers = The testing of a nation.
    • Deuteronomy = The reminders of a nation.

You can search or get teaching on the Law of First Mentions.  Scripture reveals certain principles needed for the proper and faithful interpretation of that book. (It’s so important to get under a good teacher of biblical studies)  It intimated the age-long strife there would be between the two seeds: the children of the Devil and those united unto Christ. And the Lord said unto Cain, “What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto Me from the ground” (Gen. 4:10). That is the first time that all-important word “blood” is mentioned in the Scriptures,    These principles have to be recognized as we the students seek to properly understand the Word. One of these principles is called “the law of first-mention”.The “law of first-mention” is the principle in the interpretation of Scripture which states that the first mention or occurrence of a subject in Scripture establishes an unchangeable pattern, with that subject remaining unchanged in the mind of God throughout Scripture.

The first Prophecy is in the book of Genesis. The first mention of Supernatural birth. The first recorded conversation with the devil  Gen. 315 Said the Lord God to the serpent, “ And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” (Gen. 3:15) . It intimated the age-long strife there would be between the two seeds: the children of the Devil and those united unto Christ. And the Lord said unto Cain, “What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto Me from the ground” (Gen. 4:10). That is the first time that all-important word “blood” is mentioned in the Scriptures, The next prophecy was through Enoch (Jude 14, 15) just before the Flood! (The First Flood that wiped out the entire earth) nothing compared to the Tsunami that we see today. In the prophecy of Genesis 3:15, it was revealed that all human hope was to center in a Coming One (Jesus). It made known that the Coming One should be man, the woman’s “seed,” and therefore of supernatural birth. the first birth Abel and Cain; First Surgery, First day, First night; first women, first forbidden fruit, first poem, first sons Cain & Abel. The First time we hear about Light being Day and Darkness being Night I will look for more.  If you come up with something leave in comment.  Also, here is a good starting point of the 11 generations I spoke of this book. Ironically, there are 11 points.

1. Introduction the Generations, 1:1-2:3

2. Heaven and Earth, 2:4-4:26

3. Adam, 5:1-6:8

4. Noah, 6:9-9:29

6. Shem, 11:10-26

7. Terah, 11:27-25:11

8. Ishmael, 25:12-18

9. Isaac, 25:19-35:29

10. Esau, 36:1-37:1

11. Jacob, 37:2-50:26.

BLESSINGS!

Prayer Method: Part 2

I had to rewrite this blog; Forgive me as sometimes my mind wanders in different directions that really only me and God knows.  By God’s grace and His goodness; sometimes what God tells you is only for you and Him and not to be shared.   I need help in this but I’ve come a long way.  So again I apologized and was told to come up with another beginning for this blog.  The bible has a beginning and actually for believers it has no end.  When we are born God already knew us and there is bible real talk on this in Ephesians 1:4; As I reread this chapter it was so good I had to share with you below.

Greeting (This  was one of Paul ‘s Salutation when he spoke to church of Ephesus)

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,

To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

On the focus scripture: Ephesians 1:4; as I ponder on this though I actual came across a stimulating reading on how God the Father planted the church (us); He chose us in Christ and predestined us to the place of son-ship. This is actual a difficult verse because it’s so much in it that it becomes debatable among people of faith as well as non-believers; but I want you to do some research too.  It is not that I choose thee but it ‘s God who choose us. This spiritual divined blessings is for you and me.

When you pray use the below as method of prayer.   I pray that as you pray God will open your eyes to see and open your ears to hear His voice.  May God Richly bless you!

Attributes of God – The Characteristics
Wisdom: “Wisdom is the ability to devise perfect ends and to achieve these ends by the most perfect means.” In other words, God makes no mistakes. He is the Father who truly knows best, as Paul explains in Romans 11:33: “Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand His decisions and His ways!”

Infinitude: God knows no boundaries. He is without measure. This attribute by definition impacts all of the others. Since God is infinite, everything else about Him must also be infinite.

Sovereignty: This is “the attribute by which He rules His entire creation.” It is the application of His other attributes of being all-knowing and all-powerful. It makes Him absolutely free to do what He knows to be best. God is in control of everything that happens. Man still has a free will, and is responsible for his choices in life.

Holiness: This is the attribute that sets God apart from all created beings. It refers to His majesty and His perfect moral purity. There is absolutely no sin or evil thought in God at all. His holiness is the definition of that which is pure and righteous in all the universe. Wherever God has appeared, such as to Moses at the burning bush, that place becomes holy just for God having been there.

Trinity: Though the actual word is not used in the Bible, the truth of God revealing Himself in three persons is included. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all called God, given worship as God, exist eternally, and are involved in doing things only God could do. Although, God reveals Himself in three persons, God is One and cannot be divided. All are involved completely whenever One of the Three is active.

Omniscience: “God possesses perfect knowledge and therefore has no need to learn. God has never learned and cannot learn.” Omniscience means all-knowing. God knows everything, and His knowledge is infinite. It is impossible to hide anything from God.

Faithfulness: Everything that God has promised will come to pass. His faithfulness guarantees this fact. He does not lie. What He has said in the Bible about Himself is true. Jesus even said that He is the Truth. This is extremely important for the followers of Jesus because it is on His faithfulness that our hope of eternal life rests. He will honor His promise that our sins will be forgiven and that we will live forever with Him
Love: Love is such an important part of God’s character that the apostle John wrote, “God is love.” This means that God holds the well-being of others as His primary concern. For a full definition of love, read 1 Corinthians 13. To see love in action, study the life of Jesus. His sacrifice on the cross for the sins of others is the ultimate act of love. God’s love is not a love of emotion but of action. His love gives freely to the object of its affection, those who choose to follow His son Jesus.

Omnipotence: Literally this word means all-powerful. Since God is infinite and since He possesses power, He possesses infinite power. He does allow His creatures to have some power, but this in no way diminishes His own. “He expends no energy that must be replenished.” When the Bible says God rested on the seventh day, it was to set an example for us and our need for rest, not because He was tired.

Self-existence: When Moses asked who he was talking to in the burning bush, God said, “I AM THE ONE WHO ALWAYS IS.” God has no beginning or end. He just exists. Nothing else in all the universe is self-caused. Only God. In fact, if anything else had created Him, that thing would be God. This is a difficult concept for our minds since everything else we will ever encounter comes from something other than itself. The Bible says, “In the beginning, God.” He was already there.

Self-sufficiency: The Bible says that God has life in Himself (see John 5:26). All other life in the universe is a gift from God. He has no needs and there is no way He can improve. To God, nothing else is necessary. He does not need our help with anything, but because of His grace and love, He allows us to be a part of advancing His plan on earth and being a blessing to others. We are the ones who change, but never God. He is self-sufficient.

Justice: The Bible says that God is just, but it is His character that defines what being just really is. He does not conform to some outside criteria. Being just brings moral equity to everyone. When there are evil acts, justice demands there be a penalty. Since God is perfect and has never done evil, no penalty would ever be necessary; however, because of His love, God paid the penalty for our evil deeds by going to the cross Himself. His justice needed to be satisfied, but He took care of it for all who will believe in Jesus.

Immutability: This simply means that God never changes. It is why the Bible says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Mercy: “Mercy is the attribute of God which disposes Him to be actively compassionate.” Since God’s justice is satisfied in Jesus, He is free to show mercy to all those who have chosen to follow Him. It will never end since it is a part of God’s nature. Mercy is the way He desires to relate to mankind, and He does so unless the person chooses to despise or ignore God at which time His justice becomes the prominent attribute.

Eternal: In some ways, this fact about God is similar to His self-existence. God always has been and will forever be, because God dwells in eternity. Time is His creation. It is why God can see the end from the beginning, and why He is never surprised by anything. If He were not eternal, God’s promise of eternal life for those who follow Jesus would have little value.

Goodness: “The goodness of God is that which disposes Him to be kind, cordial, benevolent, and full of good will toward men.” This attribute of God is why He bestows all the blessing He does on His followers. God’s actions define what goodness is, and we can easily see it in the way Jesus related to the people around Him.

Gracious: God enjoys giving great gifts to those who love Him, even when they do not deserve it. Grace is the way we describe that inclination. Jesus Christ is the channel through which His grace moves. The Bible says, “The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”

Omnipresence: This theological term means “always present.” Since God is infinite, His being knows no boundaries. So, clearly He is everywhere. This truth is taught throughout the Bible as the phrase “I am with you always” is repeated 22 times in both the Old and New Testaments. These were even Jesus’ words of assurance just after giving the challenge to His disciples to take His message to the entire world. This is certainly a comforting truth for all who follow Jesus.

Attributes of God – The Conclusion
This is the description of the God of the Bible. All other ideas about God are, according to the Bible, false gods. They are from the imagination of mankind. By learning the attributes of God, you may praise God for who He really is and for how each of His attributes impacts your life in a positive way.
